How can I create a community about a specific interest on Yoomoot?

Create a new category and tell people about it

yoomoot provides a perfect space for creating your own nicheknowledge-sharing and discussion community about a topic you'reparticularly enthusiastic about. To set up your own community followthese steps.

  • Click 'categories' (see top-left of website)
  • Click 'create new category'
  • Type what you want your community to discuss, e.g. 'stamps', 'star wars', 'astrophysics' and click 'save'
  • Scroll down the list of categories to your newly-created category and click it
  • Clickthe star button to make it a favourite category. It can be easilyaccessed via your list of '[star] categories' (see the top of this site)
  • Add moots to the category
  • Encourage other people to fave the category and add moots to it.
Don't worry, we are planning to radically simplify this process and add other http://yoomoot.com/questions/how-can-we-emphasise-and-improve-yoomootcoms-potential-as-a-family-of-niche-communities/ but I wanted to point at that the basics are already there.
