This is the answer to How can we design a fast, simple user interface designed for large-scale many-to-many conversations?

Via a "fast click" approach based on bullet points and character limits

On a somewhat related project I have been creating, I think what I want to do is "build an alliance of orgasnizations and users" -- that is based on a "fast click" approach to selecting bullet points, building connectivity between comments or facets or bullets simply as a comma-delimited list of comment/bullet database id numbers.   So far, that technique seems to work very well, using MS SQL Server as the underlying database and ColdFusion (from Adobe) as the web programming language.

I like the idea of a short headline or title -- Twitter's limit is 140 characters, I think Yoomoot's is shorter.   In SQL Server, I can adjust that length, and at the moment, I tend to offer more space.   Maybe what we need is a very fast way to click through or select these "headings" -- and offer a way to add more detail by way of explanation -- kind of like this space I am writing into right now...
