The majority of people don't take part in making decisions - they don't want to get involved in politics, why?
Citizens need to know that they will be heard
At the moment most people don't want to participate in political discussions because they know their opinion won't change anything. If they knew that every opinion matters and that they will be heard it would make a big difference.
That's not necessarily politicians' fault. When there are millions of citizens, it's impossible to listen to everyone. We hope that, by allowing coherent massive discussions, Yoomoot will be a step towards real participatory democracy.
