yoomoot provides a perfect space for creating your own niche
knowledge-sharing and discussion community about a topic you're
particularly enthusiastic about. To set up your own community follow
these steps.
- Click 'categories' (see top-left of website)
- Click 'create new category'
- Type what you want your community to discuss, e.g. 'stamps', 'star wars', 'astrophysics' and click 'save'
- Scroll down the list of categories to your newly-created category and click it
- Click
the star button to make it a favourite category. It can be easily
accessed via your list of '[star] categories' (see the top of this site)
- Add moots to the category
- Encourage other people to fave the category and add moots to it.
Don't worry, we are planning to radically simplify this process and add other niche community-enhancing features but I wanted to point at that the basics are already there.
If you are a community-starter type, let us know and we'll focus future development on your needs.
Also, we promise that yoomoot.com will always be free. No Ning-style suddenly-charging everyone for us!
