Yes, it allows a greater variety of interactions, but restricting discussion to Q&A is not the solution
Integrating the various modes of collaboration is the road forward. It allows more variety of interactions and thus encourages richer collaborations, whereas constraining the discussion to question-answer relationships tends to reduce the likelihood of continuing interactions.
Integrating the various modes of collaboration, and not just gluing different functionality together, means we don't need arbitrarily different and separate ways to communicate about the same subject matter and with the same people, and we can smoothly migrate between modes as appropriate to the needs at the time.
