Third party sites
The Sites include links to other websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any company or individual that yoomoot does not control, or any website that is linked-to from the Sites, including through advertisements.
Note that, on yoomoot.com (but not yoomootpro.com) yoomoot allows third party advertisers that are presenting advertisements on some of our pages to set and access their cookies on your computer. Ad servers may use their cookies to compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. Advertisers' use of cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not the yoomoot Privacy Policy. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to yoomoot's cookies.
From time to time, yoomoot or a commercial partner, may sponsor a competition, promotion, sweepstake or contest on the Sites. Members may be asked to provide personal information including name, email address or home address in order to participate. We may transfer personal information to certain commercial partners that you have explicitly requested to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.
Changes to the policy
We may change this policy from time to time. Your continued use of this Site will be subject to the then-current Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
- Registration, payment and profile information: When you sign up as a registered User of the Service we ask you for your email address and an account password. When filling in your profile you may choose to give additional personal information such as your name and location. If you are paying for a part of the Service you need to provide us with credit card details or other payment account information.
- Your communication with us: Any emails, instant messages or other communication sent to representatives of the Service may be retained in order to respond to your enquiries, improve our future communications and conduct research to improve the Service.
- Cookies: Cookies are information stored by a website on a User's computer. yoomoot uses cookies to store User preferences, to identify Users and track their usage of the Service. - Company name: If you set up a subscription on yoomootpro.com you may have provided us with the name of the company you work for. Unless you explicitly state otherwise, you agree to let us use the name and/or logo of the company for the purpose of advertising and promoting the Service. Your name, address and other personally-identifying information will be kept confidential at all times.
- In addition to the purposes described above, we will only use personal information for the following purposes:
- Maintain and improve the technical functioning of the Service.
- The development of new features for the Service.
- Research and analysis, in order to maintain and improve the Service.
- Auditing, in order to maintain and improve the Service.
- Provide the Service, including the display of customised content and advertising.

Aggregated statistics
Aggregated information which does not identify you personally, such as the number of Users who clicked a particular a link, or the number of Users who visited a particular article, may be publicly displayed or shared with third parties.
Disclosure of personally-identifiable information
Members of, employees of and contractors for yoomoot LLP are required to use personally-identifying information only where necessary for performing the function they are engaged to perform. Personally-identifiable information will only be shared where necessary to provide the Service or when required by a court, law enforcement body or other government authority. Please note that in order provide the Service your data may be transferred to countries outside the UK, including countries outside the European Economic Area.
In the event of some or all of yoomoot's assets coming under the ownership of another company, it is likely that user information will be part of the assets transferred. If, as a result of the business transaction, user information is to be used in a way other than those stated in this privacy policy, yoomoot will endeavour to notify all Users of such changes beforehand.
Publicly posted information
If you are a registered User please note that anything you post to yoomoot.com (but not yoomootpro.com), except private messages, is publicly available. If you have a yoomoot.com account, the username you have chosen during registration process is also visible to all users of the Service. Your profile page may show certain statistics and actions regarding your use of the Service, such as what "moots" you have added and how many you have added. Information you choose to include in your profile will also be publicly available. yoomoot does not control, and is not responsible for, the use of any information or content that you have exposed to the public through your use of the Service. yoomootpro profile information and content is not visible to the public. However it is visible to all other members of the yoomootpro subsite of which the profile and content are a part.
Your privacy choices
Nearly all email correspondence sent to Users via the Service may be prevented at any time by clicking on the "settings" link on the Site and adjusting the settings accordingly. The only email correspondence which cannot be stopped via the settings is the once-a-month "reminder" email and exceptional emails with important announcements regarding the Service. Users can stop these emails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link found at the bottom of the emails.
You may modify and delete the information you provided via your profile by logging in and editing your user profile (click on your username on the Site). Please note that information you have exposed to the public through your use of the Service may remain indefinitely. If another User replies with a follow-up question or answer to something you have posted, then, unless you are a moderator, you may not delete your own post.
Accessing your information
If you request it we will provide you with details of the personally-identifiable information we hold about you. We are entitled by law to charge a L10 processing fee for this.
Security
Access to personally-identifiable information is restricted to only those employees and agents who need to access it to perform their job functions. We utilize security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access and unlawful process, destruction, damage and accidental loss. Please note that we rely on you to select passwords that cannot be easily guessed and to not disclose these passwords.
Children
We do not intend that children under 13 use the Service and will not acception registration from them. We do not solicit or knowingly collect information from children under 13.
