What do you think about Google Wave?

Not as good as Gmail, nor as promising as Mozilla Raindrop

It's still just a preview

Google Wave is really slow now, it's buggy, and needs a lot of work to get to the beta stage. It's too early to judge, but it possesses some really unique and powerful features.

Not as convenient for instant-messaging as conventional IM tools

For these reasons:

  • I have to use the mouse to point and click when I want to type a reply. Makes a big difference
  • I have to continuously scroll up and down the wave to see what's new

Wave would be better if it were merged into GMail, or if it replaced it.


Better than email, and therefore a success (pending mass adoption)

I think it's much better than email. I would rather everyone used wave instead of normal. It sold itself as an email replacement so I think on it's criteria is a good tool.
