I think it would be a lot better to show the whole conversation as a collapsed tree structure by default, that is, show a tree with only the q/a titles, and let users expand each by clicking on the title (a discrete icon would indicate when a certain question/an-2swer has additional content). By "collapsed" I mean only the "body" text of each entry. The tree structure itself would be shown expanded by default (that is, you wouldn't have to click to see the titles of the answers to a certain question).
This suggestion could be considered for the main Yoomoot site as well.

Maximum thread depth
Either a hard limit (can't create questions past a certain depth) or soft (don't show by default subtrees past a certain depth).
